Despite the initial frenzy around Rajinikanth’s latest release ‘Jailer’, the film experienced a drop in box office numbers on its second day. The movie had garnered substantial attention and drew large crowds to theaters during its first day. Following a powerful opening, the film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar continued to attract significant interest.

The theatrical release of ‘Jailer’ on August 10 was marked by grand celebrations, with fans celebrating the superstar by setting off fireworks and adorning his posters with flower petals. Notably, this film marks Rajinikanth’s inaugural collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar and boasts a star-studded cast including Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar.

‘Jailer’ Box Office Collection Updates

‘Jailer’ has been receiving widespread praise from both fans and critics. Early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk suggest that the second-day collection for ‘Jailer’ could reach around Rs 27.00 crore gross in India, maintaining an occupancy rate of approximately 78 percent. With this, the total collection is projected to reach Rs 75.35 crore after two days. Notably, the film’s opening in 2023 reportedly marked the year’s biggest debut in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Although there has been a slight dip in numbers, the collection figures remain impressive. This dip could be attributed to the simultaneous release of two prominent Bollywood movies, ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2’.

Tamil Nadu’s second-day collection for ‘Jailer’ was shared on Twitter by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.

Rajinikanth stars in Nelson Dilipkumar’s ‘Jailer‘, a film that globally hit theaters on August 10. The movie also features appearances by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in cameo roles. With a star-studded ensemble including Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vinayakan, and others, ‘Jailer‘ has been graced with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Two tracks, namely ‘Kaavaalaa’ and ‘Hukum’, have swiftly climbed the music charts, adding to the film’s allure.
